Abusing scientists

The Guardian reports on just how much abuse is being thrown at climate scientists. It’s frightening. Here’s a small selection of things climate scientists have been told:

I was hoping I would see the news that you’d committed suicide. Do it, freak.

Go gargle razor blades.

Dear Communists, know that you will fail.

I think these sort of directed threats is going to have long-term knock-on effects on climate science, and maybe in other fields. A lot of students could look at this and think, “This is not what I want to sign up for.”
